Formulation of National Tourism Policy Underway to Boost Pakistan’s Tourism Sector

IN-Online Desk: Islamabad: An important meeting focused on drafting Pakistan's National Tourism Policy was held yesterday at the Prime Minister's Secretariat. Chaired by Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program (PMYP), the meeting brought together a large number of participants, both in person and via Zoom, to share insights on the opportunities and challenges within the tourism sector at a national level.

During the session, Chairman PMYP appointed a focal person responsible for developing the draft of the National Tourism Policy. This draft will soon be presented to the Prime Minister for approval, marking a significant step toward creating a structured and strategic approach to tourism development across the country. The proposed policy is expected to promote eco-tourism, infrastructure development, heritage conservation, and digital marketing initiatives aimed at attracting both local and international tourists.
